COVID-related resources

This post is an attempt to share some resources that I hope may help you in navigating the current situation with the COVID virus having such profound impacts on life as we know it. I've started to arrange resources under various headsings, and will continue to update to these as new resources come to hand.

2 exceptional talks

I found this this recent (March 2020) talk by Peter Levine, the Founder of Somatic Experiencing, very interesting and inspirational. Click here for Peter Levine Keynote speech upon receiving a Lifetime Achievement award from Psychotherapy Networker.

- The first part of the talk is about SE and how and why it works, and a bit about how it all started.

- The second part of the talk is Peter's reflections about how the current situation, and how to manage with grace and stability, and what it may mean for transforming humanity. I found that just watching and listening to Peter is resourcing in itself, and wanted to her this resource with you all.

Although not specifically a Covid-related resource, I can highly recommend a wonderful talk by Peter Levine (the Founder of Somatic Experiencing) and the Spiritual Teacher Thomas Hubl on Healing Trauma from last year's Science & Nonduality Conference. If you have a spare hour (and who doesn't at this time!) it's well worth listening to it, as it covers many of the key questions people ask about both healing trauma and spirituality (eg. what is trauma, how long does it take to heal, what's the connection between personal and ancestral trauma, how does it affect relatinship etc):  Healing Trauma & Spiritual Growth

Media Exposure: a caution

Please limit media exposure (which can be activating). Look at one reliable source and stick to this (see below). Take the time at home to support relaxation and meditation as much as possible. Be sensible ... avoid stressing yourself out with distressing or sewnsational accounts of drama or trauma (this may not be the time to be watching Game of Thrones). Not turning away ios one thing, but therte's also no need to scare yourself, so please be mindful of the impact of stessful or bad news feed.
