Holistic Counselling, Psychotherapy Services, and Somatic Experiencing Trauma Resolution

Whatever brings you here, a crisis, a pattern you can't shift, a relationship under strain, or simply a growing sense that there is more available to you than you're currently living, the work begins with finding the right kind of support.

Gina Bloom is a qualified Transpersonal Psychotherapist, Holistic Counsellor and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), working with individuals, couples and groups online via telehealth counselling across Australia on Zoom and in person in the Byron Bay area.

Her approach works with the whole person — mind, body and soul — to address not just presenting symptoms but their underlying causes, creating lasting change.

Holistic Counselling & Transpersonal Therapy

My approach is based on the assumption that there is nothing wrong with you, and you don't need to be fixed. Holistic counselling and transpersonal therapy work from the understanding that what we call a 'healing crisis' is often an invitation — an opportunity for growth that goes deeper than symptom relief, towards a more authentic and fulfilling way of living. Most people start to feel the benefits from their very first session.

Somatic Therapy & Somatic Experiencing

Trauma, stress and anxiety are not just held in the mind — they live in the body, in the nervous system, in patterns of response laid down long before we had words for them. This is why talk therapy alone doesn’t shift the effects of trauma. Somatic therapy and Somatic Experiencing (SE) work at this deeper level, gently and permanently resolving what talk therapy alone often cannot reach — importantly without requiring you to relive what happened.

Groups, Workshops & Retreats

Some of the most profound healing happens in-community. Gina is a longtime Facilitator on the Path of Love retreats internationally, and she also co-runs other workshops and retreats grounded in somatic healing and transpersonal inquiry. Group work offers something individual therapy cannot — the particular power of being witnessed and held by others who are also, courageously, doing their own work.

Online counselling across Australia and globally via Zoom video

Gina works with clients across Australia and internationally via online counselling on Zoom. Most people find online sessions to be as effective as in-person work. Many clients find that the accessibility and privacy of video actually deepens their experience of therapy.

Gina brings well over a decade of clinical experience as a psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, alongside an additional 20-year background in mental health research. She works across the full spectrum of the services listed on this page. If you're unsure whether her services and specialisations are suitable for you, the best first step is simply to get in touch.
